RALEIGH, N.C. — American Food Resources L.L.C., a national food wholesale and distribution company offering a variety of cheese and dairy products, plans to expand its facility in Nashville, N.C. During the next three years, American Food said it intends to invest $3 million and add 70 jobs at the facility.
As part of the investment, American Food plans to add a new line of meatless vegetable products and vegetarian soups and chili. The company also intends to buy part of an out-of-state business and transfer it to the Nashville plant, where it will add a new canning line and vegetable cooking.
"This expansion solidifies a strong operational base for years to come," said Tim Carper, chief executive officer of American Food Resources. "It also complements our cheese and dairy operation as we look to the future in the natural and organic marketplace."
