GTC Nutrition to work with probiotic supplier

GOLDEN, COLO. — GTC Nutrition and Ganeden Biotech, Inc. will work together to develop prebiotic and probiotic ingredients under a strategic alliance announced Oct. 23. Golden-based GTC Nutrition, a business unit of Corn Products International, Inc., offers scientific and technical expertise in the area of prebiotic fiber ingredients. Cleveland-based Ganeden Biotech manufactures patented strains of probiotics, or "good-for-you" bacteria, including GanedenBC30.
"Partnering with an industry leader such as GTC Nutrition will enable us to broaden the applications of GanedenBC30 into more functional foods and beverages, nutraceuticals and animal health applications," said Andrew Lefkowitz, president and chief executive officer of Ganaden Biotech.
