Hormel expands Mexican product offerings

AUSTIN, MINN. — Hormel Foods is introducing two new ethnic products: Dona Maria Platillos and Bufalo Salsa para Botanas.
The platillos are a line of authentic Mexican meal starters that heat in 90 seconds. Flavors include chicken with mole, pork with salsa verde, and meatballs with chipotle sauce. This product will be available beginning in November in select supermarkets in the Southwest United States for a suggested retail price of $2.99 per 10-oz portion.
Bufalo salsa para botanas is a new hot sauce made from two chile varieties: guajillo and chile de arbol. The salsa will be available in two sizes — 12.3-oz for a suggested retail price of 99c and 33.8-oz for a suggested retail price of $1.99. It will be available in supermarkets in the Western United States in November.
