PARIS, TEXAS — Pace Foods has introduced two new specialty salsas: Pineapple Mango Chipotle and Black Bean & Roasted Corn.
"Fruit and bean salsas are the two fastest-growing salsa varieties today, with bean salsas up 12% over last year in volume growth and fruit salsas up 7%," said Eric Shultz, Pace brand manager. "This trend shows that consumers are actively seeking more ways to enhance meals with salsa by experimenting with different salsa flavors, ingredients and textures."
The new varieties join five other specialty salsas — Triple Pepper, Salsa Verde, Tequila Lime, Pico de Gallo and Mexican Flour Cheese Salsa con Queso — Pace introduced earlier this year.
The salsas are available in Wal-Mart stores and will be in most major grocery stores by January. The product comes in a 16-oz bottle for a suggested price of $3.49.
