Jack in the Box names culinary manager

SAN DIEGO — Dennis Samala has been named senior culinary manager for Jack in the Box, Inc. He will be responsible for developing and implementing menu concepts and strategies for the fast-food chain. He also will manage the day-to-day operation of the company’s R.&D. laboratory and its test kitchen.

Mr. Samala previously worked as research chef and culinary service manager for Ventura Foods, L.L.C., a food service company based in Brea, Calif. Prior to his job with Ventura Foods, Mr. Samala was senior technical and culinary manager for Specialty Brands, Inc., Ontario, Calif.
