CORAL GABLES, FLA. — Café Bom Dia, a Brazilian family owned coffee company, has partnered with National Geographic to launch Terra Firma, a single-origin, specialty grade gourmet coffee developed to emphasize environmental and cultural sustainability in coffee-farming communities.
"We sought this partnership for Terra Firma to leverage Café Bom Dia’s leadership in specialty coffee and sustainability with an internationally renowned organization trusted by millions to educate and inspire us about world cultures," said Sydney Marques De Paiva, chief executive officer of Café Bom Dia. "With so many organizations looking beyond their own walls and seeking supply partners with similar values on environmental and cultural sustainability, Terra Firma meets a growing need."
Terra Firma will be sourced from Brazil, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Colombia, Sumatra and Kenya and will be available in early 2009. All of the coffees will be Fair Trade Certified.
