Guentert named as division president at Symrise

TETERBORO, N.J. — Dr. Matthias Guentert was appointed as president for Symrise flavor and nutrition division, North America. He has been with Symrise for 22 years and has experience in fundamental research, applied analytical research, flavor development, flavor innovations, quality control, regulatory and supply chain.
In other appointments, Dr. Claus Oliver Schmidt was named senior vice-president, global quality control and regulatory and innovation management, and Scott Mortensen was named senior vice-president, beverages unit for Symrise’s flavor and nutrition division. Dr. Schmidt will transfer to the United States from Germany, where he was active in innovation management. Mr. Mortensen previously held management positions at IFF and Givaudan Flavors.
