BELOIT, WIS. — Kerry has acquired X Café, a producer of shelf-stable coffee extracts based in Maine.
"We are very pleased to be part of Kerry," said Paul Kalenian, X Café president. "Our combined organization further solidifies our position as the market leader in the Americas while strengthening our ability to service the global markets in both food service and ingredient sectors."
The company said adding coffee extract technology with Kerry’s technology portfolio and application enterprise will further advance the company’s ability to help customers deliver innovative consumer products for the energy drink, soft drink, and ready-to-drink coffee beverage markets and food service channel.
"We are excited about the increased capabilities gained from our combined organization and look forward to leveraging our capabilities to help customers deliver consumer-preferred products faster and with greater value," said Jason Hawkins, president of Kerry’s beverage ingredients and flavor technologies in North America.
