Pompeian launches olive oil with omega-3 fatty acids

BALTIMORE — Pompeian is launching OlivExtra Plus with Omega-3 DHA.
The new product is a blend of Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which has natural antioxidants, and a milder tasting canola oil, which is a source of ALA fatty acids. The product also has 32 mg per serving of omega-3 DHA fatty acids.
"Pompeian is focused on bringing out products that will deliver greater benefits — along with great taste — to consumers," said Bill Monroe, chief executive officer of Pompeian. "This special scientific blend includes the type of nutrients that scientists are heralding as key components of a proper diet."
The product has a suggested retail price of $8.99 to $9.99 for a 1-quart bottle.
