ST. PAUL, MINN. — Protient, Inc. has opened an 8,300-square-foot research and applications center in Eagan, Minn., near Minneapolis and St. Paul. Protient invested more than $1 million in the facility, which features an applications lab, a chemical lab, a sensory lab, a processing room and sample storage and preparation area. It will house Protient’s R.&D. and quality departments

"The new center is key to providing specific application support," said Dr. Ewan Ha, vice-president of technologies for Protient. "It is a great resource and offers us more flexibility when developing functional ingredient solutions for our customers."

Protient, a U.S. dairy ingredients company based in St. Paul, is part of the ABF Ingredients Group.
