Symrise opens protein technical center in New Jersey

TETERBORO, N.J. — Symrise’s Flavor & Nutrition Division, North America, opened its new Technical and Culinary Center for Protein Foods on Dec. 11. The facility is more than 2,000 square feet and features equipment for a variety of protein-based products. Test batches from 10 lbs to over 100 lbs may be processed. The processing portion of the facility is climate controlled and the temperature never rises above 42° Fahrenheit.
"In most cases, our test batch activities at the center can make an easy transition to new customers," said Dr. James W. Lamkey, applications manager.
Dr. Matthias Guentert, president of Flavor & Nutrition, North America, added, "Not only do we have the most advanced technology and equipment to further explore culinary solutions related to protein, we have a highly experienced staff of savory flavor professionals."
