Three to executive positions at Symrise

TETERBORO, N.J. — Dr. Matthias Guentert has been named president of Symrise Flavor & Nutrition Division, North America. In addition, Dr. Claus Oliver Schmidt and Scott Mortensen have been named to leadership positions at Symrise.
Dr. Guentert has been with Symrise for 22 years and has worked at the company’s U.S. headquarters as well as headquarters in Holzminden, Germany.
Dr. Schmidt is assuming the role of senior vice-president, global quality control and regulatory, and innovation management. He will transfer to the United States from Germany where he worked in innovation management. He will focus on the entire area of regulatory and quality control in his new position as well as strengthen innovation efforts to create additional value to customers.
Mr. Mortensen has been named senior vice-president of the beverages unit. He has experience from past senior management positions at IFF and Givaudan Flavors.
