CHICAGO — Potbelly Sandwich Works is introducing three new sandwiches called "Skinnys." These sandwiches use skinny-cut bread and less meat and cheese than Potbelly Original Sandwiches.
"Our customers told us they wanted healthier options and some customers were looking for a less filling sandwich," said Carl Segal, senior vice-president of operations and special projects for Potbelly. "So we took all that awesome feedback and created the three new Skinny Sandwiches that have lower fat and calories but still have that great Potbelly taste."
The "Skinnys" have 25% less fat than the original sandwiches and are priced at $4 each. The three sandwiches in the line are The Hammie, which has ham and Swiss cheese; TKY with turkey and Swiss, and the Mushroom Melt with mushrooms, Swiss, American and provolone cheeses.
