CLACKAMAS, ORE. — M&K Acquisitions has purchased the assets of Gleukos, Inc., an all-natural sports drink company created in 2003 by Oregon runner and former Nike employee Mark Jensen.

"This is an exciting day for the Gleukos brand," Mr. Jensen said. "The purchase of Gleukos by M&K secures for the company the ability to further sales growth via increased D.S.D. distribution, retail chain sell in and athletic endorsements while staying true to our unique athletic history and heritage."

Mr. Jensen said the company plans to add new distributors and retailers, moves that he expects to more than triple sales in 2009.

Gleukos is made with glucose, and is available in a variety of flavors in liquid and powder forms. According to the company, the product provides natural energy, optimal electrolytes, hydration, and a light crisp taste, allowing athletes to perform their best before, during and after sport.

M&K Acquisitions is a privately owned promotional marketing firm.
