ALEXANDRIA, VA. — The web site for the Salt Institute, www.saltinstitute.org, has been re-launched with a new design and a more user friendly organization.
The site has information on sodium chloride and its 14,000 known uses, descriptions of how salt is produced, information on public policy issues related to salt and more. It contains more than 500 technical papers from six international salt symposia.
A new section on the site called "articles and references" gives readers the ability to use the site as a portal for their Internet searches. The site also features the Institute’s Salt Sensibility blog and reports recent headlines about salt companies and market developments. RSS feeds are available as well.
