SEATTLE — Starbucks will introduce its coffee in an instant form, the Seattle-based company said in a statement Feb. 12. The company said it has worked on the project for more than 20 years. Starbucks plans to host events next week in New York and other cities to introduce the new product line.
Starbucks considers instant coffee a significant opportunity because it is a $17 billion global market, according to the statement. According to an msnbc.com report, Starbucks will unveil plans for its Via soluble coffee product on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Three single-serve Via packets will cost $2.95, and 12 packets will be $9.95.
