Two tapped for quality assurance positions at Solae

ST. LOUIS — Jason E. Mann, Ph.D. and Hector DeVitre have been named to new positions in quality assurance at Solae, L.L.C.
Mr. Mann has been named global group leader for food safety and HAACP. He will be responsible for improving the company’s food safety programs, including environmental sanitation as well as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points plans.
Mr. Mann received a master’s degree in animal science from the University of Nebraska and a doctorate in food microbiology from Texas Tech University.
Mr. DeVitre has been named associate director of global quality control. He will be responsible for standardizing and centralizing processes for global quality controls. Prior to joining Solae he was director of food safety and quality assurance at Agrana.
He received a master’s degree in food science from Kansas State University.
