ELLENWOOD, GA. — QuikTrip Corp., in conjunction with Clayton county, Ga., officials, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week in Ellenwood on a new $23 million, 112,000 square foot QT Kitchen.

QT Kitchens are regional bakeries/commissaries that are managed by professionally trained chefs and bakers who prepare and distribute sandwiches, wraps and baked goods. The Ellenwood facility, which will begin production next week, will be responsible for serving 115 stores in the southeast region of the United States beginning May 1.

The facility will add 227 jobs to the region. The Ellenwood kitchen is the fourth venture for QuikTrip, with other QT Kitchens located in Tulsa, Okla.; Kansas City; and Phoenix. The company also plans to open a facility in Dallas later this year.
