ST. LOUIS — Ralcorp Holdings, Inc. has acquired Harvest Manor Farms, a Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based producer of private label and Hoody’s branded snack nuts. Harvest Manor, which will continue its operations in El Paso, Texas, has annual sales of approximately $180 million.

"We welcome the Harvest Manor Farms management team and employees to the Ralcorp family," said Kevin J. Hunt, co-chief executive officer and president of Ralcorp. "Harvest Manor Farms will become a key part of our snack nut business and will enhance Ralcorp’s snack nut product offerings and nationwide manufacturing footprint."

Harvest Manor Farms originally was founded by Dutch immigrant A.C. Hoodenpyle in 1913. Hoody’s, the company’s retail flagship brand, offers in-shell and shelled peanuts and sunflower seeds, almonds, pecans, pistachios, macadamias, cashews, candied nut snacks and mixes. The All American line of snack nuts and mixes, a well-known staple at many sports arenas, is also found on the shelves of many retail outlets. Treat Time, launched in early 2007, offers cashew and peanut halves and pieces at a low price point. Manor Creek Naturals provides a variety of trail mixes for consumers who lead a health-conscious lifestyle.
