Coat frozen food pieces evenly

Advanced Food Systems, Inc., Somerset, N.J., now offers MicroSeal ingredient systems that evenly coat individual pieces of precooked frozen foods. The systems prevent the pieces from sticking together or developing freezer burn during extended storage, according to AFS. The pieces also neither dehydrate nor shrink during the cooking process.
MicroSeal systems are dry powders that are hydrated in water. They may be combined with a variety of oils, including olive, sesame, peanut or butter-flavored. Because they contain low levels of oil, they contribute fewer calories and less fat than oils alone.
