Dunkin' Donuts to open 122 restaurants

CANTON, MASS. — Dunkin’ Donuts has signed a development agreement with InterOcean Coffee Co. L.L.C. for the development of 50 restaurants in Milwaukee and 72 restaurants in Phoenix.
"We are very excited to have this development opportunity in two great cities and to be part of the growth of the Dunkin’ Donuts brand across the country," said Hank Huth, managing member of Melrose Asset Management L.L.C. Melrose and InterOcean Equity Partners L.L.C. formed InterOcean Coffee to develop Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in areas across the United States.
The plans are to open 7 restaurants in Milwaukee and 18 in Phoenix by the end of 2009 with the rest of the restaurants to open during the next several years.
"To fulfill our national expansion goals, Dunkin’ Donuts is looking for multi-unit franchisees like InterOcean Coffee Co. L.L.C. with a strong organization and the ability to manage a portfolio of units effectively and successfully," said Lynette McKee, vice-president of franchising for Dunkin’ Brands, Inc. "We also look for prior restaurant operations and real estate development experience."
