BELLEVUE, WASH. — Ajinomoto Food Ingredients, L.L.C., Chicago, has chosen as its exclusive North American channel partner for aspartame, a low-calorie sweetener. Bellevue-based ChemPoint, a subsidiary of Univar NV, will provide marketing, sales, order fulfillment and customer service to targeted customers in the food industry.

"It is clearly visible that ChemPoint’s knowledge and expertise in the high-intensity sweetener market is second to none," said Keiji Kaneko, director of sweetener sales and operations for the U.S. for Ajinomoto. "Their focused marketing and sales approach will allow Ajinomoto to better service our valued customers while providing technical solutions to create a taste profile that meets the specific needs of the product."
