Ferrara to president of Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association

OMAHA — Joanne Ferrara, senior director, Research, Quality & Innovation at Gilroy Foods and Flavors, has been elected president of the Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association. She becomes FEMA’s first female president. Ms. Ferrara joined FEMA’s board of governors in 2000. She will focus on providing services to members and leveraging new technologies to sustain an exchange of ideas.

Ms. Ferrara works out of a facility in Cranbury, N.J., for Gilroy Foods and Flavors, a portfolio of food ingredient brands of Omaha-based ConAgra Foods, Inc. She directs the development of custom seasoning blends and savory flavor systems for food service and food manufacturing customers.
