G.M.A. honors Rich and Noddle

WASHINGTON — Robert E. Rich Jr., chairman of Rich Products Corp., and Jeff Noddle, chief executive officer of Supervalu, Inc., are the recipients of the 2009 Grocery Manufacturers Association Hall of Achievement Award.
"The Hall of Achievement Award is G.M.A.’s most prestigious honor," said Pamela G. Bailey, president and chief executive officer of the G.M.A. "It is given to those individuals who have demonstrated life-long commitment to, and achievement within, the food, beverage and consumer packaged goods industry. Both of these individuals have a strong legacy of leadership and success within our industry."
Mr. Rich has previously been on the G.M.A. board of directors and is currently active on several corporate boards and organizations such as The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Extra Mile Transportation, Inc. and The International Game Fish Association.
Mr. Noddle was previously the chairman of the board of directors of the Food Marketing Institute and currently is a member of the board of directors of various other companies, including Donaldson Company, Inc., Ameriprise Financial, Inc., The Food Industry Center at the University of Minnesota, and the Independent Grocers Alliance, Inc.
