CHICAGO — Mars Snackfood U.S. is giving away as many as seven million full-size packages of its chocolate products as a part of its "Real Chocolate Relief Act," which is going on now through September.
As a part of the campaign the company is offering "Free Chocolate Fridays," and on these days consumers may claim one of 250,000 coupons for a chocolate product at RealChocolate.com.
"Response to the Mars Real Chocolate Relief Act has been overwhelmingly positive across the country," said Todd Lachman, president of Mars Snackfood U.S. at the All Candy Expo on May 19. "It’s our way of giving Americans a little relief during challenging times with free chocolate and reminding everyone that if it’s Mars, it’s real chocolate."
Mars also announced various new products at the All Candy Expo, including the Snickers Fudge (due to launch in August) and M&M’s Coconut Chocolate Candies, which will be available in July as a limited-edition line. Other new limited-edition products include M&M’s Strawberried Peanut Butter Chocolate Candies and the Snickers Nougabot Bar.
