Vegetable ingredients come in fine-diced and puree

MOMENCE, ILL. — Van Drunen Farms now offers IQF (individually quick frozen) fine-diced vegetables and IQF vegetable purees.
The IQF fine-diced vegetables eliminate the need to handle fresh vegetables and come in fine-diced size from 1/8 inch and smaller, depending on the vegetable. They may be used in frozen entrees, appetizers, pizzas, dressings, dips, salsas and soups. The product line includes garlic, white onion, green onion, shallots, chives and a variety of peppers such as red bells, green bells, jalapeno, habanero and serrano.
The IQF vegetable purees offer a way to add vegetable nutrition, flavor and color to food products where no piece identity is desired. They may be used in soups, sauces, gravies, dips, dressings, marinades and pasta fillings. Pureed products include carrot, shallot, garlic, white onion, red onion, tomato, red bell pepper, poblano pepper and habanero pepper.
