SACRAMENTO, CALIF. — Blue Diamond Growers is adding four new flavors to its oil-roasted line of almonds, which is designed to be used as ingredients in snack, nut and trail mixes.
The four new flavors include Hickory Smoked, Kansas City Barbecue, Fire-Roasted Tomato Salsa and Teriyaki. The new flavors were designed for industrial customers to add more variety and taste to product formulations.
"Blue Diamond’s new oil-roasted flavored almonds make a great-tasting, healthful addition to any snack or trail mix," said Bill Morecraft, general manger for industrial business. "Not only do almonds add nutritional benefits to food products, but Blue Diamond can infuse a world of innovative flavors that will complement other ingredients and seasonings within any mix."
The new products will be available in 25-lb nitrogen-flushed nylon pouches with an 18-month shelf-life.
