CITY OF INDUSTRY, CALIF. — Blue Pacific Flavors Inc. introduced six new flavors under its hortRealfruit flavor technology banner at this year Institute of Food Technologists’ annual meeting and food expo. The new flavors include pomegranate, raspberry, blueberry, black currant, strawberry and karaka blackberry. The flavors are "organic-compliant," according to the company, and join Oceania Pacifica apple and South Pacific gold kiwifruit flavors, which were introduced at last year’s I.F.T.
The flavors are based on a partnership between Plant & Food Research New Zealand and Blue Pacific Flavors. Through a licensing agreement, Blue Pacific has access to Plant & Food Research’s portfolio of volatiles and aromas from fruits.
