MINNEAPOLIS — Cargill Salt has introduced Premier potassium chloride for replacement of sodium chloride or potassium enrichment in a range of food processing applications. Besides working in low-sodium foods, Premier is ideal for ham and bacon curing and in such products as cheese, beverages, seasoning blends, baked foods, margarine and frozen dough.
The granular, food grade, odorless, white crystalline salt contains tricalcium phosphate as an anticaking agent. Other sodium-reducing options from Cargill Salt include SaltWise systems and Alberger brand salt.
