Cognis features plant extracts in prototypes at I.F.T.

ANAHEIM, CALIF. — Cognis showcased drinks with its recently launched Plantalin natural plant extracts at the Institute of Food Technologists’ annual meeting and food exposition, which ended Tuesday in Anaheim.
"The burgeoning market for ‘beauty from within’ products presents our customers with tremendous opportunities," said Laura Troha, marketing manager for Cognis Nutrition and Health. "Consumers want skincare products that deliver beauty benefits through nutrition — both foods and beverages — fueling one of the hottest trends in the market. We are also seeing escalating demand for products that provide calming and soothing benefits."
A clear water at the Cognis booth was designed to benefit eye health and skin. It featured Plantalin lemon balm along with Xangold natural lutein esters and Covitol natural vitamin E. A cucumber water featured Plantalin lemon balm and passionflower and Covitol natural vitamin E. It was designed to aid in stress reduction and skin vitality.
