Former Wrigley c.e.o. joins Campbell board

CAMDEN, N.J. — The board of directors of Campbell Soup Co. has elected William Perez to the board, effective immediately. Mr. Perez, who currently is a director of the Johnson & Johnson Co., most recently was chief executive officer of Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co., and earlier was president and c.e.o. of Nike, Inc.
"Bill’s long and varied experience with leading global consumer businesses will be invaluable to our board," said Harvey Golub, chairman of Campbell. "We are thrilled to add an outstanding business leader with such a broad range of relevant experience. Bill’s knowledge of global consumer packaged goods will be a great benefit to the company."
Mr. Perez previously has been a member of the board of directors at Wrigley, The Kellogg Co., Hallmark Cards, Nike, Inc., May Co. and S.C. Johnson and Son.
