Starbucks to revamp menu by end of June

SEATTLE — Starbucks Corp. will remove high-fructose corn syrup from all of its food products by the end of June, part of a larger menu revamping that includes ingredient changes as well as the introduction of low-calorie salads and other items.
For several years Starbucks has worked to make its products more appealing to the health conscious consumer. In 2007, the company removed trans fatty acids from its food, began using 2% milk instead of whole milk in beverages and cut back the number of calories in its food products. Last fall, the company introduced a lineup of breakfast options geared to a healthier lifestyle, including items made with whole grains, real fruit, nuts and seeds, and omega-3 fatty acids.
In line with the upcoming menu revamping, Starbucks said it will launch a new advertising campaign, called "Real Food. Simply Delicious."
