Jonathan McIntyre to beverage R.&D. post at PepsiCo

PURCHASE, N.Y. — Dr. Jonathan McIntyre has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice-president of R.&D. for global beverages at PepsiCo, Inc. He will report to Mehmood Khan, chief scientific officer, and Massimo d’Amore, chief executive officer, PepsiCo Americas Beverages.
Most recently, Mr. McIntyre was senior vice-president of technology and innovation at The Solae Co., a DuPont foods company. Prior to Solae, he was formerly chief of development and operations at Auxeris Therapeutics and previously was chief scientist at Monsanto Protein Technologies.
Mr. McIntyre will lead PepsiCo’s R.&D. beverage transformation agenda worldwide. To meet the changing demands of consumers and retail customers, he will be responsible for developing products with real functional and natural advantages while continuing to apply credible science to enhance the broad portfolio of PepsiCo’s beverage brands.
