Clint Rivers joins Perdue, Inc.

SALISBURY, MD. — Clint Rivers, former president and chief executive officer of Pilgrim’s Pride Corp., is now senior vice-president of operations and supply chain management at Perdue, Inc.
"We’re pleased to have someone with Clint’s strengths and extensive knowledge in the operations arena join our company," said Mike Roberts, president of Perdue Food Products Group. "Clint is a seasoned poultry industry professional with a proven track record of increasing bottom-line growth. I’m confident he’ll be a great asset to Perdue."
In addition, Jim Leighton has been named president of the food service division and also will have responsibilities for the international channel. He has been with Perdue since 2006 and has more than 25 years of food industry experience, including time at ConAgra Foods, Inc.
Luis A. Luna has been named vice-president of corporate communications. He was most recently a senior adviser for the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Previous to that, he was assistant administrator at the Environmental Protection Agency. In his new role at Perdue, he will be responsible for media and community relations, internal and external communications, corporate contributions and being a spokesperson.
