DSM partners with company involved in egg processing

DELFT, THE NETHERLANDS and ODENSE, DENMARK — A joint development agreement will partner the enzyme expertise of DSM Food Specialties, Delft, with the egg breaking and processing equipment expertise of Sanovo Engineering A/S, Odense.
"In this partnership, DSM expects to accelerate the market introductions of novel products in our pipeline," said Theo Verleun, industry manager, Food Processing Enzymes, at DSM Food Specialties, which develops, produces and formulates enzymes. "The knowledge of Sanova Engineering in hardware management will speed up the alignment of the ideal cost-effective enzyme conditions with new or available hardware."
Sanovo Engineering has supplied the global egg processing industry for more than 40 years.
"Today’s egg processors and food manufacturers welcome innovative egg products as well as effective alternatives to traditional processing methods," said Thor Stadil, chairman of the board for Sanovo Engineering. "They are also keen to replace energy intensive processes with enzyme-driven processes."
