THOMASVILLE, GA. — Flowers Foods, Inc. has extended its Nature’s Own brand with the addition of a new 20-oz soft variety loaf called 100% Whole Grain. The bread joins the company’s soft variety line that also includes Honey Wheat, 100% Whole Wheat and Double Fiber Wheat.
Each slice contains a blend of millet, oats, flax, whole wheat flour, buckwheat, brown rice, spelt, rye, barley, kamut and triticale, as well as 12 grams of whole grain and 3 grams of fiber. Along with all other Nature’s Own soft variety bread, the 100% Whole Grain loaf contains no high-fructose corn syrup or artificial preservatives, colors or flavors.
"Our new whole grain bread is a delicious, convenient way for families to incorporate whole grains, fiber and other important nutrients into their diets," said Sherry Harper, director of marketing, Flowers Foods. "Consumers are interested in food that not only tastes great, but also offers health benefits."
The suggested retail price for the 100% Whole Grain bread ranges from $2.29 to $2.49.
