Six promoted, one hired at Sargento Foods

PLYMOUTH, WIS. — Several promotions and new hires have been announced at Sargento Foods Inc.
Lisa Erickson has been promoted to supply quality manager, where she will be responsible for managing all supply quality aspects for bulk cheese. Ms. Erickson joined Sargento in 2002 and has worked as a quality assurance technician, a quality supervisor and most recently as a supply quality supervisor. Before joining Sargento she worked at VPI, Contract Manufacturing and Schreiber Malting Co.
Chay Vue has been promoted to senior engineering manager for processed products with responsibility for engineering efforts around processed cheese, sauce and frozen products. Mr. Vue joined Sargento in 2007 as senior project engineer in the natural cheese area. Prior to joining Sargento he was a project manager at Quaker Oats Co. and Kraft Foods Inc.
Sargento also has promoted Craig Hackl, Mihir Sainani, Paul Groth and Jeff Bohman.
Mr. Hackl’s new role is technology principal with responsibility for advancing technical issues and bringing in external technologies for the research and development team to use in the product development process. Mr. Hackl joined Sargento in 2006 as a senior research scientist. Earlier, he worked in research and development for Dean Foods Co. and Kerry Specialty Ingredients.
Mr. Sainani has been promoted to senior research scientist, where he will be responsible for product development and technical problem solving in support of the new business development area of research and development. He had been a research scientist since joining the company in 2006. Earlier, he was a senior research scientist for BC-USA and a quality assurance supervisor at Hilmar Cheese Co.
Mr. Groth will take on the role of research and development manager. He joined Sargento in 2000, and he has held various roles, including as a senior research scientist and a senior quality manager. Before joining Sargento he was a manufacturing supervisor and quality control manager at Northland Cranberries, Inc.
Mr. Bohman was promoted to sales demand planning manager in the consumer products division. In this role he will be responsible for the development, management and reporting of the short-term consumer products division demand plan. He joined Sargento in 2001 and most recently was vendor managed inventory coordinator in the logistics department. Prior to joining Sargento he worked as production control and buyer at Nemschoff Chairs.
Sargento also announced the hiring of Marty Auchter as tax director. Mr. Auchter most recently was the tax research and compliance manager for Kohler Co. and a senior tax manager with Deloitte & Touche L.L.P.
