DALLAS — 7-Eleven, Inc. is adding 15 packaged private label bakery items — including snack cakes and pies, mini-donuts and breakfast pastries — to its line of products.
The new products specifically include powdered sugar mini-donuts (in a six-pack and a 10-oz bag), chocolate frosted mini-donuts (in a six-pack and a 10-oz bag), crunch mini-donuts, chocolate cupcakes, gold crème cakes, iced cheese Danish, iced cherry cheese Danish, iced apple Danish, bear claw Danish, apple snack pie, cherry snack pie, iced honey bun and glazed honey bun.
"Customers who turn to private label are looking for better values and ways to save money," said Joe Hermes, 7-Eleven senior product director for bakery and produce. "But just saving money isn’t enough to keep them as repeat purchasers. Our goal was to match or improve on the taste and quality of the baked goods by the national brands. If you can do that and save a customer money, they’re more likely to become loyal to that product."
The products will be offered at a discount price of 99c through the end of the year, and after that the products will have a price of $1.19.
