MGPI promotes David Dkystra

ATCHISON, KAS. — David Dykstra has been promoted to vice-president of alcohol sales and marketing at MGP Ingredients, Inc. A 20-year veteran in sales and marketing, Mr. Dykstra most recently was industrial alcohol sales manager since 2006.

“We are very pleased to elevate David to this key management role in our business,” said Don Coffey, executive vice-president of sales and marketing. “His extensive experience in the alcohol industry, his business acumen and his initiatives are tremendous assets. I am highly confident in his abilities to effectively serve the needs of our customers in both the premium beverage and high quality food grade industrial alcohol markets and help MGPI grow aggressively in these markets.”

Mr. Dykstra joined MGPI in 1988, rising to director of sales for both beverage and fuel grade alcohol. He left the company in 1999 to join Abengoa Bio Energy Fuels as vice-president of sales and marketing, a position he held until 2003, when he left to join United Bio Energy Fuels, L.L.C. as vice-president of the alcohol marketing division. He returned to MGPI in 2006.

He received a bachelor’s degree in marketing at Kansas State University.
