Coca-Cola board elects two to new posts

ATLANTA — The board of directors of The Coca-Cola Co. on Dec. 10 elected Ceree Eberly as senior vice-president, chief people officer, and Chris Nolan as vice-president and treasurer.

Ms. Eberly, a 19-year veteran of the company, recently was promoted to chief people officer. She succeeds Cynthia McCague, who is retiring from the company after 28 years of service. Previously, Ms. Eberly was group human resources director for Europe. She joined the company in 1990, serving in staffing, compensation and other roles, supporting business units around the world.

She has a bachelor of arts degree in biology from the University of Tennessee.

Mr. Nolan was elected vice-president and to the position of treasurer, succeeding David Taggart, who stepped down due to health reasons.

Mr. Nolan joined Coca-Cola in 1992. He has held various roles in corporate auditing and corporate treasury, including his last position as manager, financial risk management and corporate finance. He left the company in 2004 to take on the role of treasurer of Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Co. in Athens, Greece. He rejoined The Coca-Cola Co. in December 2008 as director of insurance risk management and investments. Before joining the company, he worked as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand.

Mr. Nolan has a bachelor of business degree from Emory University in Atlanta.

Ms. Eberly’s election is effective April 1, 2010, as she transitions back to the United States. Mr. Nolan’s election is effective immediately.
