Taco Bell introduces the Drive-Thru Diet Menu

IRVINE, CALIF. — Taco Bell is launching the Drive-Thru Diet Menu featuring seven items with Fiesta Salsa instead of cheese and sauce. The new salsa has five calories per serving.

“Taco Bell is committed to offering a great-tasting menu that gives consumers the variety and choices they demand,” said David Ovens, chief marketing officer. “Using quality ingredients like our freshly prepared Fiesta Salsa, the Drive-Thru Diet Menu is true to our Mexican-inspired heritage by offering real variety in form, flavors, taste, texture and the aroma our customers love while being lower in fat.”

The menu includes the Fresco Crunchy Taco at 150 calories, the Fresco Burrito Supreme in both chicken and steak for 340 and 330 calories, respectively, the Fresco Bean Burrito at 340 calories, the Fresco Soft Taco for 180 calories, the Fresco Grilled Steak Soft Taco for 160 calories and the Fresco Ranchero Chicken Soft Taco for 170 calories. All of the menu items have 9 grams of fat or less.
