Campbell introduces Select Harvest in food service

CAMDEN, N.J. — Campbell Soup Co. said its North America Foodservice division has introduced Campbell’s Select Harvest 100% natural soups for the food service market.
“People are trying to eat healthier, even when they are away from home,” said Taly Salamon, manager of innovation and business development at Campbell. “Bringing our Select Harvest soups into food service allows us to offer more great tasting, 100% all-natural options to people eating meals away from home.”
Select Harvest soups include 100% all-natural chicken stock, tangerine tomatoes and sweet basil.
Additionally, Campbell has added a lower sodium natural sea salt, which enables each Select Harvest soup to meet a healthy sodium level of 480 mg per 8-oz serving.
According to Campbell, the Select Harvest soups line was the company’s fastest growing soup line in 2009, and the launch of Select Harvest soups in food service is expected to help the company address the increasing demand for nutritious options in universities, offices and other non-commercial operations.
Campbell's Select Harvest foodservice soups are packaged by the case, each of which includes three 4-lb 100% recyclable plastic trays of soup. The soups are available now, and are $31 to $33 per case.
