Caravan names director of product development

LENEXA, KAS. — Huifen He has been named director of the product development center for Caravan Ingredients, Lenexa. She will be responsible for directing the activities of bakers, cereal chemists and food scientists to develop new bakery-related products for customers as requested by sales.
Dr. He received a Ph.D. in cereal chemistry from Kansas State University in Manhattan. She previously was senior scientist and team leader for Campbell Taggart and project manager and chair of an Asian employee resource group for Anheuser-Busch.
“Dr. He has extensive experience in applying her knowledge of cereal chemistry to the solution of problems in baking and brewing,” said Larry Skogerson, vice-president of research and development for Caravan. “Her scientific skills and experience will enhance the ability of the product development program at Caravan Ingredients to provide value-added solutions to our customers.”
