Maker of SweetLeaf appoints v.p. and c.o.o.

GILBERT, ARIZ. — Angus Flood has been appointed executive vice-president for strategic development for Wisdom Natural Brands while Charles (Chuck) Marble has been named chief operating officer. Both men will report to James May, founder and chief executive officer of Gilbert-based Wisdom Natural Brands, the manufacturer of SweetLeaf Sweetener.
Mr. Flood previously was head of international marketing at PureCircle and based in Geneva. He also has worked for Solgar Vitamin and Herb, Inc.

This sends the best possible signal to the market that Wisdom Natural Brands is resourced to take the stevia industry to the next level of mainstream consumer products.”
Mr. Marble has worked in sales and marketing, plant operations, and executive management during his 25-year career in the food industry. He most recently was executive vice-president of North America for Barbara’s Bakery. Mr. Marble received a bachelor’s of science degree in food science from Cornell University and a master’s of business administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He serves on a food science advisory council for Cornell University.
