WASHINGTON — Robert Brackett, senior vice-president for scientific and regulatory affairs and chief science officer at the Grocery Manufacturers Association, has announced his intention to leave the association this year.

He will remain with the G.M.A. this year during the search for his successor.

“G.M.A. is a tremendous organization,” Mr. Brackett said. “I am proud to have helped lead the organization at such an important time and equally proud of the work the scientific and regulatory affairs team has done over the past two years. With a great sense of accomplishment, the time has come for me to pursue the next professional challenge of my career.”
