Sara Lee Foodservice adds to dessert line

DOWNERS GROVE, ILL. — Sara Lee Foodservice has introduced six varieties to its Bistro Collection of individual desserts, which may work in such situations as coffee pairings, dessert flights and meal bundles.
A red velvet layer cake comes with cream cheese mousse, whipped cream and red velvet cake crumbs. A lemon layer cake, a sponge cake, comes with lemon mousse, whipped topping and lemon candy. A strawberry cream cheese cream pie offers chocolate cookie crumb crust, strawberry cream cheese mousse, whipped topping and chocolate shavings.

A turtle cream pie offers chocolate cookie crust, chocolate mousse, caramel, chocolate chips and pecans. A tiramisu is a sponge cake with espresso-flavored mascarpone mousse, whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa. A no-sugar-added chocolate cream pie offers chocolate crust, chocolate mousse and chocolate topping.

The Bistro Collection will be delivered to the operator at about $1.25 each. The six new varieties join the six existing varieties in key lime pie, classic cheesecake, peanut butter pie, hot fudge chocolate cake, pineapple upside down cake and carrot filled cake.
