New line offers choices in meat preservation

MARKOVCI, SLOVENIA — Vitiva has introduced Mix & Match shelf life management solutions for meat applications, which is an extension of the company’s SyneRox portfolio. The line includes natural solutions for such problems as rancidity, short shelf life and microbial instability. The new formulations allow for the reduction in use, or complete removal, of acetates and other synthetic antimicrobial stabilizers.
“Meat manufacturers will be able to choose among different combinations of natural SyneRox ingredients to answer their specific protection needs and help them target most the critical success factors for their meat products,” said Ohad Cohen, chief executive officer of Markovci-based Vitiva. “In addition, semi-natural and other customized formulations also will be available for companies seeking increased differentiation in this highly competitive market place.”
