NORTH BERGEN, N.J. — Frutarom USA has launched BLIS M18, a patented probiotic for oral protection. Ideal applications are those that allow direct contact with the mouth, according to Frutarom. The applications include chewing gum and powder drinks along with lozenges, chewable tablets, stick-packs and fast-melt tablets.
Developed from the S. salivarius M18 strain, BLIS M18 clinically has been proven to promote the health of the mouth and oral cavity by supporting and increasing the underlying health of the teeth and gums. A daily intake of BLIS M18 has been shown to aid in protecting teeth from bacteria known to cause tooth decay while protecting teeth from erosion caused by high-acid foods and helping break up dental plaque.
“BLIS M18 is a new approach for managing oral hygiene and dental health,” said Laurent Leduc, vice-president of Health Frutarom Americas. “We are building a brand of oral cavity probiotics that answers consumers’ health-specific conditions. BLIS M18 follows the outstanding success of BLIS K12 in the market place.”
Frutatom will be at Booth No. 25060 during SupplySide West Oct. 21-22 in Las Vegas.
