PARSIPPANY, N.J. — DSM plans to expand existing North American research and development facilities in Parsippany and create a Nutrition Innovation Center. It will bring together DSM’s laboratory capabilities for the beverage, bakery, dairy, savory, dietary supplement and personal care market. The company plans to open the center in 2011.
The business groups DSM Nutritional Products and DSM Food Specialties will provide expertise. The center will house customer application suites, sensory services and customer application pilot facilities.
DSM opened two regional food application laboratory facilities in 2009. One opened in Shanghai in the People’s Republic of China, and one opened in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
