LOUISVILLE, COLO. — 7-Eleven stores across the United States now are offering B.W. Cooper’s Iced Brew Tea as a fountain beverage, making the stores the first retail outlets to offer U.S.D.A.-certified organic iced tea. The tea was developed in 2003 by International Tea Master Barry W. Cooper and the Cooper Tea Co. as an all-natural tea concentrate, made from real tea, with no artificial colors or added flavors.
Even though 7-Eleven has offered the tea as an option on the fountain machine since 2003, it was not until earlier this year that the tea blend was converted to organic tea and received U.S.D.A. organic certification, 7-Eleven said. Beginning this month, stores will replace the old fountain decals with new ones carrying the U.S.D.A. organic seal. In total, nearly 70% of 7-Eleven stores across the United States will carry the tea.
“Our mission is to craft the best iced teas possible and make them available to tea lovers everywhere,” Mr. Cooper said. “We are the first company to provide the industry with an organic tea that can be conveniently served on fountain machines.”
